A steelband that goes beyond just playing.
To be a member of this group, it is not enough to just enjoy playing pan. Members of this group will be asked throughout the term to demonstrate:
*Knowledge on the history of the steelpan and Trinidad & Tobago
*Knowledge on the construction of the steelpan
*Knowledge on the tuning of the steelpan
*Sheet music sight-reading ability
Members of this group are not expected to already know all of this information but are expected to be eager to learn and have a desire to dig deeper with pan and pan culture. Outside class-time commitment is required.
Members of this group must be approved by at least one of the instructors.
